It rlly bothers me how far detached tumblr discourse is from Real Life LGBT life and experiences. Like. You realize most people struggling don’t really care about this right? Like hating ‘’’tucutes’’ and kin drama and talking about how aces can still enjoy sex isn’t really…. activism? Jus a thought.
You know… although I don’t necessarily disagree with this post, the tone made me blog check and sure enough there’s anti-queer posts everywhere. Being “anti-queer” is ironically…. severely detached from our people’s Real Life experieces and history. Like, go into ANY Real Life LGBTQ setting and say “i hate people who call themselves queer it’s exhausting” “i hate queers” and see how it goes. Get back to us when you’re done.
It’s also spreading the exact rhetoric and division tactics of our oppressors. I’m begging the rest of you to use your observational skills before you reblog shit.
